A lit match rising from a star-labeled matchbox toward a tall striped candle in a brass holder, its flame glowing warm against a deep night: a bold, light-it-up Hanukkah jersey. The Matchbox Candle Strike Hanukkah Hockey Jersey is a custom hockey jersey with your own name and number, made in sizes XS to 6XL and four colors: Matchbox Deep Blue, Matchbox Ember Red, Matchbox Wax Cream and Matchbox Soot Charcoal. It is a festive Hanukkah fan shirt and premium piece of sports apparel for game day, the rink, candle lighting, Hanukkah parties and family gatherings across all eight nights, and it works just as well as a matching team jersey.
The Artwork and Where It Sits
The sublimated artwork is built around one clear theme: a detailed round crest in the middle of the chest, crisp patterned stripes on the sleeves and hem, and a clean back with plenty of open space for your name and number. Each colorway sticks to a tight palette so the design stays sharp and easy to read from across the rink. It is an original Hanukkah design with no team, league or brand marks, and every star in it is a true six-pointed Star of David.
- Front: a large round chest crest with a beaded ring, small six-pointed stars around the edge and a swallowtail banner reading LIGHTS
- Crest center: a blue matchbox with a six-pointed star label and an open drawer of red-tipped matches, one lit match lifted toward a tall blue-and-white striped candle in a brass holder with a warm glowing flame
- Sleeves: two solid stripes framing a band of little matches and six-pointed stars
- Hem: a solid stripe over a matching match-and-star band
- Back: your name arched across the shoulders over a big outlined number, with a small six-pointed star just under the collar (pictured with a sample name and 00)
What it means
Every night of Hanukkah begins with striking a match and lighting the helper candle that kindles the rest, so this design celebrates that small, exciting moment when the glow begins.
